A couple, both 30 years old, faced challenges due to the wife’s unique response to ovulation medication. After unsuccessful attempts at intrauterine insemination at other fertility clinics, they discovered
Labryo Fertility Center online. After consulting with Labryo's practice manager, Christina, they decided to proceed with IVF treatment.
The Family Who Succeeded with IVF
Tina: Hi, I’m Tina, 30 years old. My husband and I live in Orange County, California. I’m a civil engineer, and last year, I underwent my first IVF treatment.
Randall: I’m Randall, Tina’s husband. We’re both 30 years old and live in Orange County. I work as a police officer.
Christina: Wonderful! Thank you for sharing your story. I remember when we first met, you were 29 and had already been on this journey for several years.
Q: What made you decide to pursue IVF?
Tina: Funny enough, I told Randall, “I think this is the clinic I want to go with.”
I had browsed Labryo’s website and was impressed by how clear and easy to understand everything was. The site explained the entire process so well.
We left our contact information and waited for your response. That very evening, Christina called us and spent an hour answering all our questions.
I canceled all other clinic appointments and thought, “This is it. This is the fertility center we’ve been looking for.”
Q: What was your biggest concern at the time?
Tina: My biggest worry was whether we were suitable candidates for IVF.
Christina: That’s a valid concern. I remember your hesitation was, “We’re only 29—do we really need IVF?”
Tina: Exactly. But age shouldn’t be a limiting factor. That’s a common misconception. We’re grateful you encouraged us to take this step together.
Q: How did you first learn about Labryo Fertility Center?
Tina: I think I found it on Reddit. I searched on Google for IVF clinics in Orange County, and someone recommended Labryo.
At that time, you were still relatively new. I visited your website, found the explanations very clear, and thought, “This is the one.”
Christina’s call really solidified our decision. You answered all our questions patiently, even though we weren’t your clients yet. It made us feel reassured.
Q: What concerns did you have when starting IVF?
Tina: For me, it was the injections. There were so many shots and blood tests.
But our biggest worry was whether it would work. After so many disappointments, we desperately hoped for success. IVF isn’t a guaranteed solution—it involves many uncertainties.
We’re incredibly lucky it worked for us.
Q: Can you share details about your IVF journey?
Tina: Our case was unique. I had a few follicles that matured unusually quickly.
The medical team explained everything clearly and gave us options.
We decided to do two egg retrievals in the same cycle. The first yielded two blastocysts, and the second gave us three eggs, resulting in two more blastocysts.
In total, we ended up with four healthy blastocysts, which was incredibly exciting.
Q: How many embryo transfers did it take? Did it work the first time?
Tina: Yes, we succeeded on the first transfer! We started IVF in February and were pregnant by April.
Thanks to prior testing, the process was expedited. It’s amazing to think it only took two months, especially after trying for three years.
Q: How did you feel when you received the first pregnancy test result?
Tina: Honestly, I was nervous. While I was excited, that initial joy quickly turned into anxiety.
However, your team made us feel so supported. You were empathetic and kind, which gave us confidence throughout the process.
Q: What was the most challenging part of the IVF journey?
Randall: Although the process went quickly for us, waiting was still tough. Looking back, it all seems smooth, but at the time, we worried about whether it would work.
Managing expectations and overcoming fears were the biggest challenges.
Q: What advice would you give to other couples considering IVF?
Tina: Be patient. There are many unknowns in this process, but trust that the Labryo team will provide the best care. They personalize treatment for each individual, so managing expectations is crucial.
Randall: I agree. Every situation is different, but Labryo's team is exceptional at explaining each step clearly. They will guide you to the outcome you hope for.
Q: Any messages for Labryo's team?
Tina: Absolutely. Christina, thank you so much. You introduced us to Labryo and started this journey with us.
Special thanks to Dr. Vu for his professional explanations and addressing all my questions. I’m someone who likes to dig deep into details, and he put my worries to rest.
Our embryologist, Molly, was incredibly empathetic and caring, and the entire team, including Samantha and Lupe, was amazing. Thank you all so much.
Christina: We aim to make the IVF process as simple as possible because we know how difficult the journey has already been. Every story is unique, and yours is truly remarkable.
Q: What are your plans for the future?
Tina: We’re planning to start another IVF cycle at the end of the year.
Christina: Have you decided whether to try for a sibling?
Tina: We’d love to have a girl, but the baby’s health and happiness are what matter most.
Christina: Thank you for taking the time to share your story. Your baby is a testament to your perseverance.
Tina: He’s a big baby—takes after his dad! Thank you again. We’re so grateful.
